Germinated Hemp Seeds

Germinated hemp seeds are more easily digested and the nutrients are absorbed more efficiently by the digestive system. As a result of the germination process the anti-nutrients that protect the seed (that nearly all the flora contain) such as phytic acid, and lectins that hinder digestion, will diminish. Germinated hemp seeds are in their healtihiest form. Jyväs-Hamppu products are only germinated so much that the seeds get bio-acticvated. The seeds contain only very few visible hemp gems and some seed shells could be partially opened.

Roasted hemp seeds

Roasted hemp seeds have an elaborate, nut-like mildly roasted taste that make the seeds an excellent addition to foods and snacks. Roasting does not decrease the nutritional values. On a contrary It can decrease the enzyme-blockers and anti-nutrients such as phytic acid and lectins (that protect the seed from possible pests).


Munch as they are or add to porridge, muesli, granola, DIY energy bars, smoothies, on ice-cream, salads, on soups, to nearly any cooked food and to pastries.

The seeds can be ground by a hand-held mortar or by a small electric coffee mill or similar small blender.

Hemp seed recommended daily intake is ca. 35 g (ca. 7 tbsp).
